PRODUCTION OF THERMOPLASTIC RESIN EMBOSSED SHEET

PURPOSE:To produce a resin sheet good in emboss transfer, reduced in the return of emboss at the time of secondary processing and the shrinkage in the sheet itself and excellent in dimensional stability. CONSTITUTION:In a method for producing an embossed sheet from a molten sheet like article composed of a thermoplastic resin using a roll unit having one or more embossing roll, the surface temp. (TR) of the embossing roll is set to the thermal deformation temp. (TH) of the thermopalastic resin +(30-60 deg.C) (1) and the surface temp. (TS) of the resin sheet on the side not coming into contact with the roll immediately after peeling from a final roll is set to TH +(3-50 deg.C) (2) and the temp. of the resin sheet after peeling from the final roll is reduced to TH so as to take a time wherein a numerical value tenfold or more the numerical value represented by the thickness (mum) of the resin sheet is set to sec (3).
