PURPOSE:To produce a foamed phenol FRP molded product reduced in deformation and enhanced in strength and decoration properties by uniformly coating the inner surface of either one of male and female molds with a pasty resin prepared by kneading a fiber reinforcing material and a filler with a phenol resin to clamp the molds and irradiating the resin layer with a microwave to foam and cure the resin layer within a short time to form a skin layer on the surface of the foamed resin layer. CONSTITUTION:For examaple, a release agent exclusive to a phenol resin is applied to the inner surfaces of both of male and female molds and a glass fiber chopped strand mat layer is laminated to the coating layers of the male and female molds and allowed to naturally stand to be cured. Next, woode veneer is temporarily clamped to the female mold by a self-adhesive and a release agent is applied to the male mold and a phenol resin decorative plate 4 is temporarily clamped to the male mold. Three kinds of these different skin layers are respectively arranged to the molds and the female mold is uniformly coated with a material 3 prepared by compounding resin materials forming foamed phenol FRP in a pasty state and, immediately after mold clamping, the layer of the material 3 is irradiated with a microwave. The compounding example of molding materials consists of a phenol resin, a curing agent, a clay powder, pearlite and chopped strands. |
