PURPOSE: To provide a lipid compsn. useful for foods or the like which has the optimum structure and physiological characteristics with specified fatty acid of triglyceride and the optimum balance in active substances and which can prevent unbalanced metabolic load. CONSTITUTION: The fatty acids in the triglyceride contain max. 10 wt.% satd. fatty acids, 50 to 70 wt.% monounsatd. fatty acids and 30 to 40 wt.% higher unsatd. fatty acids. The fatty acids contain 25 to 35 wt.% n-6 fatty acids, and the weight ratio of n-6 fatty acids to 2-3 fatty acids is 4.5:1 to 8.5:1. The higher unsatd. fatty acids contain the effective amt. of acids (e.g.γ-linolenic acid) having >3 unsaturation degrees belonging to n-3 and n-6 series.
