PURPOSE:To prevent overheating of a needle seat and fuel inside thereof, and suppress generation of distorsion in an ignition plug integrated with an injector by performing electric discharge of the ignition plug below a needle seat and an injection port. CONSTITUTION:In a plug integrated type inner-cylinder direct injector, a needle housing 8 is arranged on a center portion of a leading end in an axial direction, while its leading end having a port at its center serves as an injection port 9a for injecting fuel, and also serves as a center electrode of an ignition plug. A leading end of the needle housing 8 is projected compared to a needle seat inside the needle housing to the leading side in an axial direction. A grounding electrode 10 separately opposed to the center electrode 9 is arranged on an outer side of the projection of the center electrode 9 in a diameter direction. The grounding electrode 10 is arranged so as to surround the center electrode 9 from the side direction, and spark discharge is generated in a gap (s) between the electrodes 9 and 10, so that the needle seat is protected from overheating.
