PURPOSE:To provide a bathroom suitable for bathing of an aged person by after-fitting a transfer base with a handrail to a bathtub. CONSTITUTION:In a bathroom 1, wherein a wash place 2 and a bathtub 3 are continuously provided, a flange 31 is provided over the whole circumference of an upper opening part of the bathtub 3, a backrest part 32 is provided on one side of the bathtub 3, and a side wall 4 of the bathroom 1 is provided in the vicinity of the backrest part 32 of the bathtub 3, a vertical direction handrail 54 is standingly provided on a seat part 51 of a transfer base 5 having a nearly L-shape plane form in which the seat part 51 is provided continuously with an attaching part 52. An upper end part of the handrail 54 is attached to the side wall 4 of the bathroom 1 provided in the vicinity of the flange 31 on the backrest part 32 side of the bathtub 3 and the attaching part 52 of the transfer base 5 is fitted in and attached to a recessed groove 6 provided between the flange 31 on the side of the backrest part 32 of the bathtub 3 and the side wall 4 of the bathroom 1. |
