RADIATION MARKER DISCRIMINATING DEVICE AND RADIATION MARKER DEVICE

PURPOSE:To facilitate detection of a counterfeit and to increase the efficiency of assortment of paper sheets by forming on a sample a marker which is recognizable by utilizing radiation but unrecognizable by appearance. CONSTITUTION:A sample 91 on which a marker to absorb radiation is formed in a state that it can not be discriminated with appearance is irradiated with X-rays from an X-ray tube 1. X-rays transmitted through the sample 91 are detected by an imaging system 2. A detecting signal therefrom is fed to a central control unit 4 through a data collecting part 21 and based on the detecting signal, the marker of the sample 91 is discriminated.
