CHECKING METHOD OF PICTURE READING DEVICE FOR FAX

The method detects and displays abnormality of a reading unit in an image reading device. It comprises : (i) a step a reading a white reference data when a copy reading sensor becomes active state; (ii) a step a comparing a read white reference data with average white reference value; and (iii) a step that displays reading badness when white reference data is smaller than certain percentage, rings alarm and ejects copy at the same time.
