The pump has opposing pistons located in or more cylinders. Induction and exhausting of fluid is by means of valves (2) connected to the middle of the cylinders. The pistons are driven by two parallel shafts (3). The relative positions of the shafts are varied between zero and 180 degrees by means of a slide (6) and a synchronous transmission. The flow varies proportionately with the relative positions of the pistons Relative variations in the direction of travel of the two pistons causes a continuous variation of the cylinder volume. Translation of the slide drives two idling pulleys and causes the displacement of the driven pulley relative to the driving pulley. The slide can be operated manually or by a servo motor.
