Cooking vessel temp. monitoring circuit

The temp. monitoring circuit uses a temp. sensor (1) coupled to an evaluation stage (2), providing an alarm signal indication by comparing the detected temp. with defined temp. limits and/or controlling the power for the heating device (5). The temp. sensor is provided by an IR pyrometer at a point which is spaced from the cooking vessel (6), the evaluation stage pref. provided by a microprocessor, which may receive a second temp. signal from a temp. sensor associated with the food contained in the pan.
