In the pressure casting of ceramic articles, electrodes are located in a conventional pressure casting mould and the slip is subjected simultaneously or sequentially to pressure and an electric field. Also claimed is an appts. for carrying out the above process, in which electrodes are integrally associated with the entire moulding surface or are fitted in preferred regions of the mould.
