The tent skin is supported by a linkage of at least four upright rods (1) inclined upwards, whose top ends are interconnected. The upright rods are held together by a ridge plate (3) with a joint (2) for each rod top end. The ridge plate is square or rectangular. Each rod consists of several plugged parts (1A,B), with the lower part (1B) carrying a nodal component (4), onto or into which are insertable horizontal rods (5). The rod linkage thus provides the frusto-pyramidal shape of the tent.
