Air-conditioning system for road vehicles

An air-conditioning system for use in a road vehicle has temperature controlled air flow directed (2) into the vehicle passenger compartment to flow through to an exit (4). A temperature sensor (5) measures the exit air flow and a further sensor (6) the inlet condition. The sensor signal (5) is compared with a reference to control the flow of heated or cooled air. In addition, the flow rate is held to a minimum when the inlet flow is indicating a cold engine. As the inlet temperature rises so does the flow rate.
