The camera has an input camera and a streak gap in a streak stop as an input slit. The streak gap has a closure device with a horizontal closure slit (104) mounted in front of it. A firing process is activated by a laser diode (112) and a photodiode (113) which receives its output light, when coincidence occurs between the streak gap or a foreslit at a distance in front of it and the closure slit. The laser diode is arranged in front of or behind the streak stop and the photodiode is arranged on the opposite side of the streak stop from the laser diode. The streak gap and closure slit are close together and directly in series, or the streak gap can be pressed onto the input camera's film guide.
