Tool holder esp. for cutting and drawing tools

The tool holder has a box shaped upper part (1) connected to a base plate (2) which lies on the workpiece. The tool (3) is detachably mounted in the upper part (1) over an opening (5) in the base plate (2). To engage the workpiece the upper part (1) is pushed vertically downwards relative to the base plate (2) against a return spring so that the tool protrudes through the opening (5). The range of movement is controlled by a knurled screw (4). The tool holder may be made of transparent materials and have interior lighting to illuminate the tool and workpiece.
