A low-cost, quickly prototyped sensor circuit assembly (140,160,240,260) characterized by a sensor integrated circuit (140,240) and an amplifier circuit (160,260), wherein all adjustable system resistors (141-149,151,153,155-158,241-249,251-255,257) are located on the sensor integrated circuit (140,240) in the form of adjustable thin-film resistive elements whose manufacture requires no new mask layers. An assembly method comprises trimming the sensor (140,240) and amplifier circuit (160,260) as a matched pair.
