A redirecting valve (10) having a housing (1, 1b), a valve spindle (5) mounted in the housing (1, 1b), a valve element (2) in connection with the valve spindle (5) and rotatable in relation to the housing. The valve (10) has two bores (3a, 3b), each having an inlet and an outlet, where one bore (3a or 3b) is normally intended for the throughflow of a medium that is different from the medium which flows through the other bore (3b or 3a). By turning the valve element (2) through approximately 90 DEG , said valve element blocks the throughflow in both bores (3a, 3b) whilst the flow is redirected from one bore (3a or 3b) to the other bore (3b or 3a) on both sides of the blocking valve element (2).
