<p>Vibration damping arrangement on a fuel injection pump (12) fitted to the side of a combustion engine, whereby the pump driven by the engine crankshaft incorporates a substantially box-shaped pump housing (14) fitted to the side of the engine cylinder block. A cylindrical vibration damper (48) is arranged in the region of one end of the pump housing (14), directed transversely to the longitudinal extent of the pump housing and fastened in a holder (50) mounted on the top of an end housing (36) fastened to the pump housing. The vibration damper (48) incorporates a cylindrical housing with an internal damping chamber in which an axially movable damping body is arranged.</p> |
