摘要 The drive unit has a hydrodynamic retarder (100) so arranged in the main drive train that in the braking mode the rotor blade wheel (2) of the retarder is driven via the main drive train. In the non-braking mode the retarder is capable of being decoupled from the main drive train without interrupting the power flow in the drive train. The hydrodynamic retarder can be arranged in a subsidiary branch of the main drive train. A synchronisable claw coupling is used to interrupt the torque transmission between the main drive shaft (10) and the subsidiary branch.
