The invention concerns a fuel element of thermal nuclear reactor made with a pack of fuel rods arranged under the covering deck (15) and few open at the top hollow rods (P), arranged between fuel rods, in which are placed extrusion rods (B) of the material resistant in the cooling device and not containing fuel, with little effective cut for thermal neutrons. Extrusion rods (B) are stationary and choosable fixed by hollow rods (P) and covering deck (15).
