<p>NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (R<1> is H or amino-protecting group; R<2> is H or OH-protecting group; R<3> is H, salt-forming cation or carboxyl- protecting group; R<4> is H, halogen or lower alkyl) and its salt. EXAMPLE:7-[(Z)-2-(2-aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-hydroxyiminoacetamide]-3-[(Z) -2-(1,2,3- thiadiazol-4-yl)vinyl]-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid solidum salt. USE:An antibacterial agent effective against Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria. PREPARATION:The objective compound can be produced by reacting a compound of formula II or its reactive derivative at the amino group or their salts with a compound of formula III or its reactive derivative at the carboxyl group or their salts usually in a solvent optionally in the presence of a base.</p> |
