<p>PURPOSE:To prevent an image guide from being damaged, by a method wherein the outer diameter of the head unit of the image guide, equipped with an object lense at the tip end thereof and inserted into a cable entry hole, is formed so as to be 40% or more with respect to a difference between the inner diameter of the cable entry hole and the outer diameter of an inserting body. CONSTITUTION:An inserting body 1, inserted between a cable entry hole 2 and a cable 9, is constituted of an insertion guide tube 3 and an image guide 4. One end of the inserting body 1 is connected to an eye lense unit, not shown in a diagram, while the other end of the same forms an object lense unit 6 consisting of object lenses 5. The insertion guide tube 3 is formed of a seamless flexible synthetic resin tube while clean water is poured thereinto through the base end thereof and flows out of an opening 7 to discharge dirty water in the cable entry hole 2 and wash the object lense unit 6. The outer diametral dimension A of a head unit 8 is designed so as to be larger than 40% of a dimension D obtained by subtracting the outer diametral dimension C of the cable 9, received in said hole 2, from the inner diametral dimension 8 of the cable entry hole 2. According to this method, the inserting body 1 will never drop into a narrow part between the cable entry hole 2 and the cable 9 whereby the inserting body 1 may be inserted easily and internal inspection may be effected easily.</p> |
