PURPOSE:To provide the color image copying system which is inexpensive and excellent in color reproducibility. CONSTITUTION:In this color image copy system, a reading processing unit 110 reads an original while separating the original into plural color components and outputs image signals. The gradations of respective color image signals from this unit 110 are corrected by a preceding step gamma correction circuit 121. On the other hand, the preceding step gamma correction circuit 121 performs correction to complement the influence correction of these needless optical components at least. The image signals from this preceding step gamma correction circuit 121 are mutually processed by a color correction circuit 122 and converted to image signals corresponding to color members required for copy. The gradation of image signals processed by the color correction circuit 122 are corrected by a rear step gamma correction circuit 123 and at the same time, the influences of needless optical components contained in the reflected light of a copied image at least is previously predicted and corrected. Based on the image signals processed by this rear step gamma correction circuit 123, an image recording unit 130 outputs the copied image in Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black by energizing lasers 43c, 43m, 43y and 43bk. |
