PURPOSE:To produce a solid roller especially excellent in the durability against load or external impact force and capable of being subjected to practical use. CONSTITUTION:A rigid reinforcing cylinder 12 having a large number of small cylindrical through-holes 12c each larger than the outer peripheral diameter of a core member 11 and longer than the length of the core member 11 is preliminarily processed and the core member 11 is positioned at the center of the cavity parts 22 of solid roller molds 20,21 and both end parts of a reinforcing cylinder are engaged with and held to the positioning annular grooves 25a, 25b provided to the mold to position the reinforcing cylinder on the same axis of the core member. A molten resin or rubber is injected into the mold under high pressure to be allowed to flow in the gap between the reinforcing cylinder and the outer periphery of the core member from the small through-holes to embed the reinforcing cylinder and after release, both end parts 12a, 12b of the reinforcing cylinder are cut to arrange the cylinder length of the core member. |
