PURPOSE: To provide a gas mixture which is supplied to the acting lungs together with respiratory gas and contains NO of the predetermined concentration, and a device to supply the gas mixture to the acting lungs. CONSTITUTION: A gas mixture contains inactive nonpoisonous vestigial gas of the predetermined concentration. A device has a gas source 4 to house respiratory gas, an inspiratory tube 12 to supply the respiratory gas and NO to the lungs and an expiratory tube 20 to discharge the respiratory gas and the NO from the lungs, and in that case, a second gas source 14 supplies the NO to the inspiratory tube 12 in the shape of a gas mixture, and a gas densitometer is also arranged in a gas passage to measure the concentration of the vestigial gas. |
