A fluid to fluid heat exchanger (2) has finned surface (8) with a fin array (4) joined to the surface (8) in a thermally conductive manner. A number of deformations (15) are provided along lines where the bases (7) of the individual fin sections (5) make contact with the heat exchanger surface (8). The fin sections (5) are joined to the heat exchanger surface (8) by resistance welding focused on the deformations. |
