PURPOSE:To attain smooth starting by providing a means for adjusting an output of an engine in accordance with an operating amount of an accelerator pedal and an automatic transmission, and providing a drive force control means for decreasing the engine output, when having detected an obstacle in a vehicle advancing direction at starting time, to hold a shift to a speed change shift in a high speed side from when having not detected. CONSTITUTION:In a drive force control means 3, each output signal S2 to S5 of the obstacle detecting part 4 for outputting the obstacle distance signal S2, car speed detecting part 5 for outputting the car speed signal S3, accelerator opening detecting part 6 for outputting the accelerator opening signal S4 and a speed change shift detecting part 7 for outputting the position signal S5 of a speed change shift of an automatic transmission 8 is processed, and an output of an engine 2 is adjusted to control the automatic transmission 8 by a speed change shift control signal S6. In the case of providing an obstacle in a prescribed range, since engine output control decreasing the output of the engine and speed change shift control for decreasing output torque by shifting up the speed change shift are performed, rapid starting due to unprepared stepping in an accelerator pedal can be prevented. |
