Method of assaying antiphospholipid antibody and kit therefor

A method of assaying an antiphospholipid antibody contained in a sample by using beta 2-glycoprotein I, wherein use is made of, instead of the same, a polypeptide having the same amino acid sequence as that of the domain IV of beta 2-glycoprotein I or a polypeptide which is partially different from the above polypeptide but is equivalent thereto in function, thereby permitting an easy and accurate assay of an autoantibody originating in antiphospholipid antibody syndrome.
