SPERMATOCIDAL ANTIVIRAL LUBRICANT COMPOSITION AND ITS USE

PURPOSE: To obtain an anti-viral vaginal lubricant composition and a spermicidal composition having excellent wetting and lubricating effects. CONSTITUTION: This vaginal lubricating agent is composed of an anti-viral alkylphenoxypolyethoxyethanol spermicide, a water-soluble polymer gel matrix and a solubilizing agent which permits the spermicide to be compatible with the gel matrix. Preferably, a polyethoxylated compound such as a polyethoxylated castor oil is added thereto.
