<p>PURPOSE:To simultaneously eliminate the deviation of thickness on entrance side and the deviation of thickness caused by the eccentricity of a roll in good balance. CONSTITUTION:The estimated value of thickness on an exit side DELTAhe=DELTAS+DELTAP/ M is determined, this signal is passed through a filer C(s) and this signal is made as a command quantity for the operation of a draft mechanism, (namely DELTAu=DELTAhe.C(s) is determined), and the draft is operated. Then, weight W1(s) to W5(s) is added to the input/output of a system model; to that weight added, a transfer function G1(s) in which thickness deviation on the entrance side DELTAH influences a thickness deviation DELTAh on the exit side and a transfer function G2(s) in which a roll eccentricity DELTASe influences DELTAh are added; and a filter C(s) minimizing DELTAh and DELTAu is derived by applying Hinfinity theory, which is then set in a device 6I for controlling thickness deviation. C(s) is made to contain the central value omega of DELTAH, DELTASe fluctuating frequencies, and this omega is shifted in proportion to a passing speed V.</p> |
