METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR PREVENTING BACK FLOW IN AIR OR GAS COOLING TYPE LAMP

PURPOSE: To prevent reverse flows of contaminations by providing a deflector changing directions of airflows passing through a gap to form replacing airflows for replacing air drawn by cooling airflows. CONSTITUTION: In a lamp, a guide or an air deflector 17 is provided on a cabinet. The air deflector 17 is a U-shaped member, and is suspended from installation member 21 fixed to the cavity with a sheet metal fastener 18. A flexible member 19 such as a gasket is provided for sealing an interface between the deflector 17 and the installation member 21. The air deflector 17 changes direction of airflows passing through a gap 15 to form replacing airflows 20 for replacing air drawn by cooling airflows, so that reverse flows of contaminations are prevented.
