PURPOSE: To provide a food component which is obtained by fermentation using Saccharomyces boulardii, excellent in a diarrhea preventing effect and useful for animal feed, food, etc. CONSTITUTION: The desired food component is obtained by fermenting a vegetable material including carbohydrate and protein by using Saccharomyces boulardii. In addition an animal feed or a food is obtained by including the food component. In addition the food component is obtained by fermenting 1 kg flour, 50 ml protein hydrolyzed matter, 100 g glucose, 450 ml water and 30 ml seed funguses of Saccharomyces boulardii at 37 deg.C for 48 hours. |
