PURPOSE:To produce an extracted image (component image) and a synthetic image without changing largely a conventional still picture device used exclusively for reproduction. CONSTITUTION:A still picture device is provided with a 1st-3rd frame memories 161-163 where the image data received from an image input part 42 and a DSM 14 are written, a screen effect circuit 20 which controls the reading of the image data out of the memories 161-163 and ensures the screen effect, a 1st image processor 46 which outputs a key signal for changeover of screens, a 2nd image processor 52 which controls the transfer of the image data stored in the memories 161-163, a rough contour display means which shows a rough contour based on the input of a tablet 38, a line thinning means which thins the rough contour, an image extracting means which extracts an image out of the thinned contour, an image composing means which builds the extracted image into a prescribed area of an image to be synthesized. Both processors 46 and 52 which are excellent in arithmetic operation among pixels and transfer of data between the memories can process each means at a high speed. |
