PURPOSE:To set the sizes of a plurality of printing areas by a simple operation by providing a number-of-character determining means determining the number of characters of one line at every printing area from the area size set at every printing area and a specific character size corresponding to the setting of the area size of each of printing areas. CONSTITUTION:When printing areas are set to printing paper, at first, the position of the first printing area among a plurality of printing areas is specified and the area size thereof is set but successively altered and set at every indication operation due to specification indication means (key input part 11). Next, the position of a second printing area is specified and the area size thereof is set but successively altered and set in the same way at every indication operation due to a setting indication means. The number of characters of one line in each printing area is determined from the area size set at every printing area and a specific character size by a number-of-character determining means (CPU 13) to be displayed on a display part 20. |
