PURPOSE:To provide a reverse-current protector for detecting and eliminating reverse-current, which can suppress an energy loss as low as possible. CONSTITUTION:In a reverse-current protector 5 which is connected between a solar cell 1 and a battery 2 is series, a normally-opened contact 7 is connected to a reverse-blocking diode 6 in parallel and a current coil 8 which performs the switching control of the contact 7 is connected to the diode 6 in series. Further, a diode 10 is connected to the current coil 8 in parallel. The polarity of the diode 10 is such that a reverse current flows. With this constitution, while a current flows from the solar cell 1 to the battery 2 (forward direction), a current is applied to the coil 8 (in which little power is consumed) and the contact 7 is closed and a current flows through the contact 7. When a reverse current appears, the contact 7 is opened and the reverse-current is securely blocked by the reverse-blocking diode 6. Even if the current flow is suddenly changed from the forward direction to the reverse direction, the change is suppressed by the diode 10 and the contact is opened without fail. |
