PURPOSE:To inform a user without failure of decrease of toner by forming an image using a procedure to thin out pixels with the help of a recording part based on the detection results of a toner quantity detection means arranged on a toner feed means. CONSTITUTION:A toner bearing roller 14 bears a toner and transports it to an aperture electrode 1. A feed roller 12 feeds the toner 1 to the toner bearing roller 14. In addition, the feed roller 12 and the toner bearing roller 14 are supported inside a toner case 11 in such a manner that these rollers are rotatable in an arrow direction, and the rollers are arranged in contact with each other. Further, a toner layer regulating blade 18 adjusts the quantity of the toner 16 borne by the toner bearing roller 14 so that the quantity is uniform on the surface of the roller, and is pressed into contact with the toner bearing roller 14 so that the toner 16 is uniformly charged. A toner quantity detection sensor 41 is provided on the toner case 11 for detecting the residual quantity of the toner 16 in the toner case 11. |
