<p>System for moving beams in a continuous mercerising plant 10, the said mercerising plant 10 comprising one or more mercerising machines 11 in which the coarse fabric is mercerised and then wound on beams 16 placed in seats 59 in at least one horizontal row, and winder lines comprising a winding machine 13 and a plurality of gathering heads 14, the full beams 16 being taken from their seats 59 at the exit from the mercerising machine 11 by carriage conveyor means 18 and transported to a beam storage and transfer unit 12 located downstream from and in direct cooperation with winding machine 13, first operator side manipulator transfer means 20 for the full beams 16 from the carriage transport means 18 to transfer and storage unit 12 and second winding side manipulator transfer means 21 for full beams 16 from storage and transfer unit 12 to winder machine 13 being provided, the storage and transfer unit 12 comprising at least storage means 22 for full beams 16 which are to be fed to winding machine 13 and storage means 23 for emptied beams 49 as discharged from winding machine 13. <IMAGE></p> |
