PURPOSE:To provide a power unit which can reduce the power consumption of a battery on standby. CONSTITUTION:Power is transmitted through an insulating transformer T11 from a secondary battery 2 to load by connecting the primary winding N1 of an insulation-type transformer T11 to the secondary battery 2, and also, connecting the secondary winding N2 of the transformer T11, in parallel with an external power source, to the load, and providing the primary winding N1 of the transformer T11 with a switching element Q11, and intermitting the current supplied from the secondary winding 2 to the primary winding of the transformer T11. This power unit is provided with an oscillation control circuit 12, which operates by the power source being supplied from the secondary winding N3 of the transformer T11 so as to control the switching operation of the switching element Q11, and a trigger circuit 13, which starts the switching operation of the switching element Q11, receiving the power supply from the secondary battery 2. |
