<p>PURPOSE:To output an alarm in accordance with the deceleration of a vehicle so as to prevent excessive issuance of alarms and collision of the vehicle with a front obstacle by changing the alarm issuing timing in accordance with the engine condition of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 21 outputs pulse signals to a drive circuit 13 to control the light emitting timing of a light emitting element 12. Then the microcomputer 12 finds the relative speed between its own vehicle and a front obstacle 10 to differentiate a distance value inputted from a pulse counting section 19 and calculates the speed of its own vehicle by inputting wheel speed pulses from a wheel speed sensor 27 to detect the speed of its own vehicle. In addition, the microcomputer 21 calculates an alarming distance from the relative speed and the speed of its own vehicle found form the distance value and changes the alarming distance in accordance with the engine condition of its own vehicle inputted from an engine condition detecting means 4. When the distance value is shorter than the alarming distance, a buzzer 28 is actuated to issue alarms.</p> |
