<p>PURPOSE:To offer an automatic correcting method which can sense a miscorrecting due to failure in the energy intensity or a dislocation in the photo- energy irradiation by making acknowledgement and judgement of the degree of pattern collapse in the defective part. CONSTITUTION:An image processing device 11 and a system controlling personal computer 12 are connected with the body 10 of an automatic correcting device. This device body 10 has a function of casting a photo-energy such as laser beam and is equipped with an X-Y stage to perform movement of the correcting position upon mounting of a liquid crystal display device and active matrix board. The image processing device 11 has a function of pattern matching for automatic acknowledgement of the correcting position within a defective picture element electrode, wherein a normal pattern for the correction part is previously registeed in the form of an image, and a pattern matching takes place between the registered pattern and the actual pattern of the correction part. Otherwise, the pattern when normal correction was done for the correction part is registered in the form of an image, and pattern matching takes place between the registered pattern and the actual pattern of the correction part after the correcting operations.</p> |
