PURPOSE: To sharpen many knives as a blade bank by allowing the blades ground only on the outer flanks disposed at the lower edges of the yarn cutting knives of a frustoconical shape to exist within a cylindrical jacket. CONSTITUTION: Both right and left side of a bearing region 10 of a flat plate plane having spindle insertable openings 11 perpendicular to the longitudinal axis A-A of spindles of the yarn cutting device having the knives of the frustoconical shape are extendedly provided with frustoconical shape regions 12 and the lower edges thereof are provided with the blades 8 formed with grinding surfaces on the outer side 7. The yarn cutting knives 5 are constituted by forming an opening angleαof 20 to 30 deg. between the frustoconical shape regions 12 an the cylindrical jacket 9. Further, the respective knives 5 are spaced from each other via build-ups or nose parts or independent spacer rings, etc., disposed in the bearing region 10, by which the simultaneous polishing of the many knives 5 as the bade blank is made possible.
