A photographic camera 12, Fig. 1, has four optical channels 18 associated with four apertures 14, a lens turret 24 being rotatably mounted about a shaft 28 on the front of the camera and carrying a lens 30, rotation of the turret indexing the lens into four successive positions each aligned with one of the apertures 14 so that the regions 18 can be sequentially exposed through the lens. A shutter plate 32 having four exposure apertures 34, Fig. 3, is rotatably mounted on the turret shaft 28 and biased in a clockwise direction by a spring 36 so that a stop segment 38 abuts a fixed stop 40. To make an exposure, a timing disc 46 is rotated one complete revolution during which a pin 44 carried thereon engages a slot 42 provided in the shutter plate to move the plate to expose all four apertures 14. When the apertures are fully uncovered a switch 52 is closed to energize a flash device. Continued rotation of timing disc 46 carries pin 44 out of engagement with slot 42 and the shutter plate is driven back to its initial position under to action of spring 36. Futher rotation of timing disc 46 causes turret motor 74 to be energized which rotates lens turret 24 via a friction drive wheel 72. Lens turret 24 is provided with four angularly spaced detents 86 engaging sequentially a contact arm 84 of turret stop switch 80, the turret thus rotating until the lens is aligned with the next region 18 to be exposed. |
