PURPOSE:To prolong the life of a cutter means and connect the first and second unvulcanized rubber sheets with sufficient joint strength. CONSTITUTION:End edge sections of aligned and clamped unvulcanized rubber sheets 2, 3 are pressure-jointed by a presser edge 5A cut off by about 0.7-1.0mm at the tip. The pressure-jointed portion is cut by a cutting edge. A separate presser edge 5B cut by about 0.7-1.0mm at the tip is moved on the end edges of both cut rubber sheets 2, 3 along the cut line like the cutting edge. The presser edge 5B again repeats the pressure contact of the jointed portion, and the joint strength is increased. |
