PURPOSE:To obtain the storage method of traffic data in the packet exchange network management system in which much area on a database is not owned exclusively by traffic data. CONSTITUTION:The method is provided with steps S101-S104 in which a 1st period is provided to collect traffic data for a predetermined period at a time zone with relatively many line traffics and steps S105, S106 in which a 2nd period is provided to collect traffic data for a period longer than the 1st period at a time zone with relatively a few line traffics. The traffic data are stored through compression in the 2nd period in comparison with the 1st period. Furthermore, the 2nd period is selected to be a multiple of the 1st period, how many times of periods the storage number of times for the 2nd period correspond to that for the 1st period is calculated and the traffic data stored for the 2nd period are displayed while being divided by the number of times. |
