METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING OBJECT TO BE TREATED CONSISTING OF ORGANIC SUBSTANCE OF RUBBER, PLASTIC AND/OR COATING OR HAVING ORGANIC SUBSTANCE OF RUBBER, PLASTIC AND/OR COATING

PURPOSE: To minimize an amount of gas which forms at the time of treatment and inexpensively treat a metal solid material by heating the material to be treated at sub-atmospheric pressure in an non-reactive atmosphere to a specified temp., then condensing formed gases or vapors, subjecting a condensate to reuse or disposal treatment, further crushing residues and subjecting the crushed residues to recycling or disposal treatment. CONSTITUTION: A material comprising organic substances in the form of rubber, plastic and lacquer or having such organic substances is heated in a vacuum process chamber 1 at sub- atmospheric pressure in a non-reactive atmosphere to a temp. of at least 200 deg.C. The gases and vapors thus formed are condensed in a condensate separator 3, and the condensate is captured and supplied for reuse or disposal treatment. The embrittled residues formed from the organic substances are crushed and the crushed residues are collected and supplied for recycling or disposal treatment. When the material to be treated contains metals, the formed residues are separated, collected and, if necessary, crushed. Thereby, it becomes possible to minimize the amount of gas formed at the time of treating and realize ecological and inexpensive treatment of the metal solid materials.
