<p>PURPOSE:To decide in a short time whether a mine exists or not and enable the application to a nonmetallic mine by radiating X rays against the ground surface, detecting gamma rays radiated from the ground surface and deciding the existence of the mine by means of a survey-meter on the basis of a detection signal. CONSTITUTION:In order to probe-and-handle a mine 19, a vehicle 12 is driven to a detection site, and then a truck 7 is moved forward to a specified detection area by means of an electrically driven cylinder 6. Then, high-energy X rays 21 are applied to the detection area for a specified period of time from an X-ray generating device 1. Gamma rays are detected by a detector 2 and a dose rate is measured by a survey-meter 14 so as to determine whether the mine exists or not. If the mine 19 does not exist in the specified detection area, the truck 7 is moved to a next detection area. If the mine 19 exists, jet water 2 is injected from a nozzle 4 of a water jet device 3 so as to remove soil around the mine 19 and an excavator 50 is used to dig out and remove the mine 19.</p> |
