PURPOSE:To obtain a natural spatial acoustic effect by collecting a same sound source at the locations spatially separated from each other, storing the waveform data based on the collected data and reproducing the spatial environment of the original sound in a reproducing sound field. CONSTITUTION:Musical sound of a musical instrument P is simultaneously collected by microphones 21 and 22 which are spatially separated from each other. Even though the microphones 21 and 22 have a same characteristic, collected musical sound signals have different amplitues, phases and frequencies. Obtained musical sound signals S1' and S2' are inputted to waveform data converters 23 and 24, converted into D1' and D2', the spatial information is processed by a waveform data processing section 25 and become waveform data D1'' and D2''. The data D1'' and D2'' are stored in storage devices 17 and 18, respectively. After that, stored data D1'' and D2'' are read and musical sound is generated. Thus, spatial information is stored in waveform data themselves and the spatial environment of the original sound collection sound field is reproduced in the reproducing sound field. |
