The casing (1) of an electrical connector houses male and female contacts each linked to a conductor (2). The casing rear extremity (3) presents a neck (4) while an adhesive ribbon is wrapped around a segment of the conductors which corresponds to the casing neck. A rigid sleeve (7), made up of two half-shells (7a,b) articulated via a flexible band (8), is placed over the adhesive ribbon. The sleeve halves are locked together via clips (9) which cooperate with corresponding holes (10).
