PURPOSE: To automatically measure various parameters related to a transmitting or receiving mechanism of an electro-optical module or to both of them by generating a light pattern according to an electric pattern from a pattern generating means. CONSTITUTION: When a test is performed on a transmitting mechanism 40 of an electro-optical module 20, a series pattern generating mechanism 120 generates a digital electric signal under the control of a PC 70. This electric signal is sent to an electronic optical transducer 160, and the transducer 160 generates a corresponding digital light signal. This light signal is sent to a light splitter 180 through a light attenuator 170, and 10% of an incident digital light signal is sent to a light output meter 210, and at the same time, 90% of the light signal is sent to a receiving mechanism 40. The mechanism 40 generates a corresponding digital electric signal, and this electric signal is sent to a series pattern comparing mechanism 220 through an emitter combinatory logic driving mechanism 55. |
