<p>PURPOSE:To prevent dot impairment caused by applying still picture processing to a moving part of a MUSE signal from being produced in a reproduced picture. CONSTITUTION:A 2-frame difference generating processing section 31 eliminates a remaining still picture component when the section 31 applies frequency separation to a dot part. A still picture processing section 35 and a motion picture processing section 40 implement still picture processing and motion picture processing respectively. A dot signal extract processing section 44 receives a signal subject to still picture processing by the still picture processing section 35 to extract a dot signal. A mixture processing section 49 receives the still picture component and the dot component and receives a signal subject to motion picture processing to mix both signals depending on a degree of motion of a still picture processing signal and a motion picture processing signal thereby obtaining a video signal output without dot impairment.</p> |
