PURPOSE:To prevent the blowout developer in a developing unit form scattering out of the developing unit. CONSTITUTION:The sealing material 12 is disposed as the shield member for blocking the upper space of the rotary shaft 31, above the spongy roller rotary shaft 31 between the both end part of the spongy roller 3 and the developer side plate 11. Thus, the toner tending to blowup upward from the outside of both end part in the longitudinal direction of the contact part 7, coming into collision with the sealing material 12, turning the moving direction and returns to the toner containing part direction along the back surface of the sealing material 12. Therefore, the toner staying in the gap 9 between the developing roller 2 and the casing for constituting the back surface of the developing unit is prevented from blowing upward in the developing unit inside part, and the toner scattering out of the developing unit through the slight gap formed between the developing roller 2 and the blade can be prevented. |
